Annona reticulata, known as sugar apple, custard apple, or bullock's heart, is a compact tropical tree native to the West Indies. Originally introduced to the mainland, it's now grown extensively from southern Mexico to Peru and Brazil. It usually reaches heights of 20-35', with slender, long-pointed, oblong-lanceolate to lanceolate green leaves (4-8" long) in an upright or occasionally irregular shape.
