Freeze-dried sapodilla is a dried fruit product made from the sapodilla fruit, also known as chikoo or naseberry. The fruit is first cleaned, peeled, and cut into small pieces before being freeze-dried. This process removes the water content from the fruit, leaving it lightweight and easy to store.  Freeze-dried sapodilla retains most of the nutritional value of fresh sapodilla, including vitamins A, C, and E, as well as potassium and dietary fibers.
