The Atemoya is a crossbreed between two fruits: the sugar-apple (Annona squamosa) and the cherimoya (Annona cherimola), both originating from the American tropics.
It offers a high level of juiciness and smoothness, with a subtle sweetness and a hint of tartness, reminiscent of a piña colada. The flavor also carries notes of vanilla inherited from its sugar-apple parent.
