It represents an exceedingly uncommon Annona species, producing orange-skinned fruits that can reach a weight of up to one pound. These fruits house a sweet and exquisitely delightful white pulp. Within its original habitat, this fruit holds great value, yet it remains a rarity and has never been subjected to cultivation.

The tree, an evergreen variety, attains heights of 30 to 45 feet (9.1 to 13.7 meters), standing as one of the tallest among Annona species. These fruit-bearing trees share similarities with A. scleroderma and A. crassiflora.
