For years, we worked tirelessly to grow a garden that could provide our family with fresh, healthy food. We tried everything—building raised beds, planting directly in the ground, and experimenting with container gardening. Yet, like so many Floridians, we watched our plants struggle to survive and never truly thrive.

Then everything changed. We began to uncover the secrets of growing in the tropics. With each bit of research and every new attempt, we discovered that it is possible to grow food in Florida—and not just seasonally, but all year round!

Once we started growing the right plants in the right way, our garden flourished. In fact, it flourished so much that we outgrew our suburban backyard. That’s when we moved to a cozy farm in Loxahatchee and brought the Loxahatree to life.
